Dr Azlinah Hj. Mohamed is a Professor at the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. Prof Azlinah has served UiTM in a few top management positions ranging from the Dean of the Faculty, to being appointed as the Special Officer at UiTM Academic Affair and Development Office. Prof Azlinah received her MSc (Artificial Intelligence) from University of Bristol, UK in 1993 and PhD (Decision Support Systems) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2001.
Prof Azlinah's research interest includes Artificial Intelligent, Decision Support Systems and Soft Computing. She has written in numerous publications ranging from several international and local conferences and published her works in several top international and local journals. She has also been awarded several competitive grants such as Science Fund, and MOSTI and has been actively involved in both academic and industrial projects over the last years. In terms of recognition, Prof Azlinah's works has received numerous awards. Among her research works that has been well recognized in the academic world is the Information Professionals Competency Assessment Model and the Multi-Parametric Pectin Lyase-Like Protein Function Classifier.
Prof Azlinah also does several consulting works for the Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDEC), Jabatan Perikanan Malaysia, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. Prof Azlinah is also an active member at the Malaysia Information Technology Society (MITS), Malaysia Qualifications Agency, Malaysia and Artificial Intelligence Society. Currently, Prof Azlinah is a principal fellow, at the Institute for Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (IBDAAI), UiTM.
